Why AMUSF?
Each AMUSF Upholsterer or Soft Furnisher will have had their work, premises and insurances thoroughly vetted at the time of application to ensure they operate to a standard that maintains the integrity of the craft. This process is repeated periodically by visits from AMUSF Directors and Staff to ensure those high standards are maintained. Only AMUSF members can display the crest to give re-assurance to the consumer that they will be dealing with somebody who manages their business to a high standard. The Association does have a complaints and mediation procedure so that in those rare instances where there is a dispute, we can help to mediate between the two parties to help them reach an agreeable solution.
Train with the AMUSF
The Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers qualifications are based on acquiring good practical and relevant skills. These qualifications may lead to employment within the industry or with additional practice may lead to you starting your own small business.
The Upholstery Qualifications are delivered in three stages with each stage being a qualification in its own right and will be certificated separately. The Soft Furnishing qualification is a single stage. These qualifications can only be delivered by an AMUSF Approved Training Centre.
